Cooking With Matcha

Avocado Toast with Matcha Dukkah

Avocado toast with matcha dukkah—creamy avocado, crunchy nuts, and a whisper of green‑tea spice in every bite.

Avocado Toast with Matcha Dukkah

Avocado Toast with Matcha Dukkah turns a simple favorite into something quietly special. Creamy smashed avocado rides on crisp, toasted bread and is crowned with crunchy matcha dukkah—a fragrant blend of toasted nuts, sesame seeds, spices, and a hint of matcha that adds texture and a gentle green‑tea depth. It’s bright, earthy, and satisfying, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices country-style or levain bread, about 1/2-inch thick
  • Avocado oil
  • 1 avocado, halved, pitted, sliced
  • 1/2 lime
  • Aleppo pepper
  • Microgreens
  • Matcha Dukkah
  • Matcha Salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread, then lightly brush each slice with oil. Fan one half avocado on each bread slice.
