Quick, no-bake snack made with dates, almonds, cocoa powder, and matcha for a rich, earthy flavor with a gentle energy boost.

Chocolate Matcha Energy Balls

These bite-sized treats are naturally sweet, satisfying, and perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up or pre-workout snack. Makes about 18 (1-inch) balls.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, about 10
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon matcha
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Matcha Powder Sugar for rolling
  • Matcha Salt for sprinkling


Instructions

  1. Process all the ingredients (except the Matcha Powder Sugar and Matcha Salt) to form a sticky ball. Roll a heaping spoonful into a 3/4 to 1-inch ball and repeat with the remaining mixture.
  2. Roll each of the balls in Matcha Powder Sugar. Lightly sprinkle each ball with a pinch of Matcha Salt. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
