Cooking With Matcha

Matcha Salt and Pepper Cashews

I have a soft spot for warm cashews, and these!

Matcha Salt and Pepper Cashews

Matcha Salt and Pepper Cashews are a bold, savory snack with a subtle earthy twist. Roasted cashews are tossed with matcha, salt, and cracked black pepper for a flavorful coating that’s slightly nutty, lightly spiced, and just a little unexpected. The result is a crunchy, moreish snack that feels both elevated and easy to enjoy anytime.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon matcha, sieved
  • Matcha Salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Toss the cashews in a bowl with the oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread on the baking sheet
and transfer to the oven. Roast until golden, shaking the pan once or twice, 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the matcha over the nuts. Stir to coat.
Season to taste with Matcha Salt. Cool to room temperature.
